The Nuffield Canada Scholarship is a prestigious rural leadership program available to anyone mid-career who is involved in agriculture in any capacity of primary production, industry or governance. This $20,000 scholarship provides individuals with a unique opportunity to:
- Access the world’s most extensive network in food and farming,
- Achieve personal development through travel and study, and
- Deliver long-term benefits to Canadian farmers and growers, and to the industry as a whole.

During the 24 month program, scholars travel outside of Canada for a minimum of 10 weeks - 6 of which must be consecutive - to examine a topic of their choosing which is relevant to modern agriculture or primary production in Canada. Upon completion, scholars transfer the knowledge they gained by writing a 10,000 word report and presenting a summary to the Nuffield Canada Board, sponsors and peers, then fielding questions.

Each year scholarships are awarded to individuals who are expected to assume positions of greater influence in their field in the future. Application intake is April 1 through June 30 at www.nuffield.ca .
