About the Program


The MARL program is a dynamic leadership development program for active and engaged adult agricultural and rural leaders in Minnesota.  Since inception in the year 2000, twelve classes, each completing a 22 month program, there have been 352 individuals that have successfully completed the program and each is maximizing their impact and effectiveness in local, state, national and international arenas. 

The program involves a dynamic two-year educational experience featuring nine three-day in-state seminars, a six-day national study seminar and a 10- to 14-day international study seminar.  On average the class includes 30 members from all regions of the state.  The program does continue to involve and support alumni, provides updates with the MARL Blog, hosting of events and includes MARL Alumni in current class seminars, networking, mentoring and social events.
