About the Program

The New Mexico Agricultural Leadership Program (NMAL) prepares career-engaged agribusiness professionals to develop their leadership skills, and broaden their understanding and analysis of economic, cultural, and environmental issues facing the industry.  NMAL accomplishes its mission through an 18-month program designed to provide agriculture and rural leaders with a broader view of society and a greater sense of how agriculture contributes statewide, nationally, and beyond.  NMAL is a practical, seminar-based leadership experience for growing professionals. Our mission is to develop knowledgeable, multicultural leaders for New Mexico’s agricultural, food, and natural resource industries. We accomplish this through 6 in-state seminars, a trip to Washington, D.C., and an international experience. Seminars includes site visits, workshops, meetings, travel, and individual leadership growth.
